The 5.6-acre purchase area is designated and zoned Light Industrial.
Document Description
The City of Manteca is proposing the Manteca Water Quality Control Facility (WQCF) Phase III/IV Expansion Project. The wastewater treatment plant is in southwest Manteca (South of Yosemite Ave) and serves Manteca and Lathrop in southern San Joaquin County. The 210-acre project site includes the existing WQCF footprint. The project would expand capacity from 6.95 to 9.87 mgd to accommodate projected growth in Manteca through 2012, improve solids handling process, develop on-site nitrification-denitrification facilities to reduce the level of ammonia in treated effluent, and amend the GP land use designation and zoning of a 5.6-acre purchase area from Light Industrial to Public/Quasi-Public. The Project is consistent with and would help implement to City's adopted 1995 WQCF Master Plan. As part of the project, the City is seeking low-interest loan funding through the State Revolving Fund, a program funded with federal dollars. The program funds facilities to accommodate growth over a maximum 12-year planning horizon.
