Document Description
Amend the Land Use, Open Space and Conservation Element of the Kern County General Plan from Map Codes 8.5 and 8.5-2.5 to Map Code 6.3 or a more restrictive map code designation. A change in zone classification from A-1 to CHPD or a more restrictive district. The project site encompasses approximately 39 acres and is currently undeveloped. The applicant is proposing to develop the site with highway commercial uses such as fast-food restaurants and mini-marts with gasoline service. There are no specific plans for development at this time. The development is proposed to serve the traveling public as well as the residents of the rural community. Primary access to the site will be from Gephart Rd. to the west, while additional access is proposed from either side of State route 58. Sewage eill be disposed of by an on-site septic tank. Water will be supplied by an on-site well.
