Document Description
The project is to divert water from the Sacramento River, Colusa Basin Drain (tributary to the Sacramento River), Stone Corral Creek, and Lurline Creek (the last two tributary to Colusa Trough thence Sacramento River) in order to flood rice fields in winter to aid in rice straw decomposition, creation of waterfowl habitat enhancement, and incidental irrigation. The total place of use is approximately 6,800 acres. The maximum amount of water to be diverted in any one year is 13, 630 acre-feet. All physical facilities are in place (they are authorized for summer irrigation diversions under other water rights.
