Public Facilities/Schools/Open Space/Park Basins/Drains
The proposed project is an amendment to an adopted area plan for a project located in east Los Banos and adjacent to unincorporated territory. An EIR for the area plan was certified in 2001. Major changes are:
- Project site acreage decreased by 30 due to elimination of the college site detention basin area east of the San Luis Canal.
- Community college use is eliminated (125 acres).
- High school site increases by 21.4 acres. for total of 72.1 acres.
- Residential area increases by about 42.1 acres. Single-family lots evaluated in the 2001 EIR totaled 730. The currently proposed number is about 990.
