Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number R2-2001-449 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, California Department of Water Resources. The work that will be completed under the agreement will involve the breaching of the "east" channel entrance near the northeast tip of Decker Island. Related activities include excavation, clearing of invasive non-native vegetation, and armoring of the entrance to protect against erosion. This will allow inundation of tidal channels within a 15 acre fish and wildlife habitat area. The project area was expanded from 10 acres to 15 acres via an April, 2000 addendum.
