The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA #6-123-99) pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The applicant proposes to perform the following work: Line E is an approximate 8,125 linear-foot (LF) storm drain alignment that will channelize flows within a tributary area that presently drains by sheet flow across the dairies and agricultural lands north of the Santa Ana River. The southern 1,375 LF of the alignment is proposed as an eastern channel with an approximate 0.20-acre outlet along the outer bank of the Santa Ana River. The northern 5,125 LF will be constructed as buried pipelines concurrent with proposed residential subdivision development. The intervening 1,625 LF is proposed as an open concrete channel.
