Document Description
The project is located on the south fork of Toad Creek, in Assessor's Parcel Number #040-289-025, in the community of Templeton in San Luis Obispo County. The project would place a 12-inch diameter PVC or HDPE sewer force main line pipe approximately 4.5 feet below the bed of Toad Creek. The section of pipe crossing the creek would be approximately 50 feet in length and encased with reinforced concrete to prevent disturbance by stream scour. An open trench, 8 to 10 feet in width, would be cut across the streambed to accomodate the pipe, which would be placed on a bed of 6-inch compacted aggregate base. After curing, the concrete will be covered with a layer of compacted earth no less than 4.5 feet below the surface of the streambed. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement R3-2000-1259 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Bill Van Orden/Templeton Community Services District.
