Document Description
Nutrient Diversion Plan in compliance with Regional Water Quality Control Order 98-10 for the Regional Water Reclamation and Disposal Program. The RWQCB Order established requirement under which the City could, during extreme hydrologic conditions, discharge tertiary-treated reclaimed water in Escondido Creek, provided the discharge does not result in any increase in nutrient loading or biostimulation in San Elijo Lagoon. The Nutrient Diversion Plan implementing the RWQCB Order proposes to withdraw an equivalent amount of nutrients from Escondido Creek (east of Ash Street) and to divert the water to the sewer treatment system.
