Document Description
THIS PROJECT IS ESSENTIALLY THE CREATION OF A BUTTERFLY HABITAT RESTORATION DEMONSTRATION AREA ON 1.3 ACRES NEAR DOANE POND. IT INVOLVES REMOVAL OF EXISTING VEGETATION, INSTALLATION OF A PERIMETER FENCE TO DISCOURAGE DEER HERBIVORY, INSTALLATION OF A WATERING SYSTEM, INSTALLATION OF BENCHES A WALKING PATH AND INTERPRETIVE SIGNS, ASSEMBLY OF A NURSERY/GREENHOUSE AND INSTALLATION OF LOCALLY COLLECTED AND PROPOGATED NATIVE PLANTS. THE GREENHOUSE WILL BE SITED AND FENCING MATERIALS CHOSEN THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE PARK SETTING. ALL SUBSURFACE WORK WILL BE MONITORED BY A QUALIFIED ARCHEOLOGIST.
