Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number R2-2001-214 pursuant to section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Contra Costa Water District. This agreement pertains to the Contra Loma Water Quality Improvements Project for the purpose of improving water quality and retaining recreational use. Activities include construction of a concrete lined 39,999 square feet swimming lagoon with sand topcoat, a concrete and earthen berm to separate the lagoon from the reservoir, and rip-rap for erosion control. The swimming lagoon will be constructed in approximately the same location where current swimming activities occur.
