Document Description
The project will also incorporate green technology, including a green roof for water retention, as well as a 5,000 gallon stormwater harvesting system with two rain cisterns for runoff prevention and water conservation. The water collected will be used in the plumbing for the toilets, subsurface irrigation of the landscape, and when needed, in the wetland treatment process. The project is expected to generate and treat an average of 300 gallons/day of wastewater, with a maximum of 600 gallons/day of wastewater using an on-site wetland treatment system. The wastewater will be collected and treated within the building and will then be pumped to a landscaped area approximately 25 feet from the building for subsurface dispersal.
