The EPSA will serve as a back-up pump station for discharging treated wastewater to OCSD's ocean outfalls to the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, a new collection system Odor and Corrosion Control Program (OCP) will apply odor-reducing chemicals intermittently in the upper reaches of OCSD's trunk sewer system as wastewater is conveyed from northern and central Orange County to the District treatment facilities.
