Document Description
The Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport Master Plan Program represents a long-term vision of the airport's facilities and will serve as a strategic plan to guide future development. At its meeting on December 14, 2004, the City Council of the City of Los Angeles considered the LAX Master Plan Program and reports the following actions taken as follows:
1. Adopted the resolution to overrule the Los Angeles County Airport Land Use Commission (LA-ALUC) determination regarding the LAX Master Plan Actions based on the proposed State Aeronautics Act; complied with CEQA by certifying the EIR, adopting the findings, statement of overriding considerations, and the Mitigation Monitoring & Reporting Program (MMRP); and approved the LAX Master Plan Program.
2. Adopted the ordinances amending the Los Angeles Municipal Code to provide for the LAX Zone and Zone Change.
3. Adopted the ordinance establishing the LAX Specific Plan.
