Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) adopted an Addendum to the previous Negative Declaration and approved the Safety-Kleen of California, Inc Permit Renewal, pursuant to authority granted under California Health and Safety Code Chapter 6.5 and California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20. The Permit will reauthorize the existing treatment and storage facilities for additional ten years and authorize an existing 8,079-gallon treatment tank currently used for hazardous waste operations. There are several previous permitted units (three Rail Car Loading/Unloading Stations) that have not been constructed yet and are included in the Permit Renewal. The Permit Renewal does not include any new types of hazardous wastes received and processed at the Facility from the previous permit approval. All waste treatment and storage activities are conducted in secondary containment to prevent any waste from running off site.
