Document Description
The project is limited to the construction of two new bridges and a paved pedestrian pathway. The pedestrian pathway will range in width from 8 to 12 feet. The westernmost bridge will be approximately 50 feet in length and 12 feet in width. The easternmost bridge will be approximately 60 feet in length and 12 feet in width. Both bridges will be made of single span prefabricated steel and concrete. Bridge abutments will be set back from top of bank. Tributary banks will not be graded as a part of this project. Approximately 0.28 acres of riparian vegetation will be temporarily impacted and 0.06 acres of riparian vegetation will be permanently impacted by the project. Two acacias ranging in diameter at breast height (DBH) from 8 to 10 inches, 5 coast live oaks ranging in DBH from 1 to 2 inches and 5 arroyo willow ranging in DBH from 4 to 6 inches will be removed. No work will occur in the wetted portion of the channel. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0069-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Scott Hamby/City of Scotts Valley.
