The California Department of Transportation proposes to construct three operational improvements to Hwy. 1 between the Carpenter Street and Mesa Drive intersections in the Carmel Area. The project consists of road widening on the west side of Hwy. 1, drainage improvements, and re-striping the road with a total of 900 cubic yards of grading and the removal of five Coast Live Oaks.
