Document Description
THE PROJECT ENTAILS REMOVAL OF APPROXIMATELY 5000 CUBIC YARDS OF CONTAMINATED SURFACE SOIL, SANDBLAST GRIT AND SEDIMENT. CONFIRMATION SAMPLING WILL BE CONDUCTED WITHIN THE EXCAVATED AREAS. APPROX. 18.8 ACRES OF WETLAND AREA WILL BE CONSTRUCTED AT SITE 4. THE ACTIVITY ASOCIATED WITH THE WETLAND RESTORATION WILL ENTAIL ADANDONMENT OF 5 GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS, REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING STORM DRAIN INLET AND PIPELINES, DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING BUILDINGS, CONCRETE PADS, PAVED AREAS, UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, AND VEGETATION AND THE DREDGING OF TIDAL CREEKS AND THE USE OF DREDGED MATERIAL FOR BACKFILL AND CONSTRUCTION IF APPROPRIATE. A SEDIMENT TRAP WILL BE CONSTRUCTED FOR DRAINAGE CONTROL TO MINIMIZE RUN-OFF FROM THE SITE.
