SILICON GRAPHICS, INC. (SGI) IS PROPOSING TO BUILD 556,000 SQUARE FEET OF FLOOR AREA IN FIVE LINKED BUILDINGS FOR OFFICE AND ASSEMBLY USES IN THE NEAR-TERM. ABOUT 300000 SQUARE FEET WILL BE IN OFFICE USE, AND 256000 SQUARE FEET IN ASSEMBLY AND CAFETERIA SPACE. THE BUILDINGS MAY TRANSITION MAY TRANSITION TO STRICTLY OFFICE USE IN THE LONG TERM. ROUGHLY 40 PERCENT OF THE PARKING SPACES WILL BE ACCOMODATED UNDERNEATH THE BUILDINGS. THE REMAINING PARKING, ALONG WITH SHIPPING AND RECEIVING, WILL BE CLUSTERED ALONG THE EASTERN AND NORTHERN EXPOSURES, AWAY FROM SIGNIFICANT PUBLIC SPACES, AND SCREENED BY LANDSCAPING. ALSO INCORPORATED INTO THE PROJECT IS REVEGETATION OF THE LANDFILL MOUND ADJACENT TO THE WEST OF THE SGI DEVELOPMENT PARCEL. IT WILL BE SEEDED WITH NATIVE GRASSES AND SOME SHRUBS/TREES. LOCAL ACCESS TO THE PROJECT SITE WILL BE VIA CRITTENDEN LANE AND A PROPOSED NEW ACCESS ROAD ("NORTH ROAD") NORTH OF THE PROJECT SITE AND PARALLES TO CRITTENDEN LANE. THE NORTH ROAD WOULD BE 24 FEET IN WIDTH AND CONSIST OF TWO TRAVEL LANES. STREET IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROJECT INCLUDE THE WIDENING OF CRITTENDEN LANE, FROM ITS CURRENT WIDTH OF +- 34 FEET TO 48 FEET, WITH TWO TRAVEL LANES (ONE IN EACH DIRECTION)SEPARATED BY A CENTER LANDSCAPED MEDIAN.
