THE REUSE PLAN GUIDES LONG RANGE DEVELOPMENT TO ENSURE ORDERLY AND EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF THE PROPERTY AND ASSETS OF THE 4700 ACRE BASE. EIR 563 EXAMINES THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT (REUSE ALTERNATIVE A) WHICH CONSIDERS REUSE OF THE BASE AS A FULL SERVICE COMMERCIAL PASSENGER AND CARGO AIRPORT WITH ASSOCIATED USES. THE PROPOSED PROJECT ENTAILS THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPROVAL OF A CONCEPTUAL COMMUNITY REUSE PLAN FOR AVIATION AND NON-AVIATION AND NON-AVIATION RELATED USES, FOR SUBMITTAL TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT UNDER THE BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE ACT AND RELATED FEDERAL LAWS.
