Document Description
THIS PROJECT WILL PROVIDE TRAPPING, SPAWNING AND REARING OF CHINOOK SALMON.APPROX. 12 PAIR OF CHINOOK SALMON ADULTS WILL BE REARED FOR RELEASE IN THE SPRING AND FALL OF 1997 INTO WATERS OF HUMBOLDT BAY, HUMBOLDT COUNTY, AT SITES APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME.ALL OF THE WORK WILL BE PERFORMED USING HAND CREW LABOR. THE GENERAL PROJECT WORK PRACTICES WILL NOT IMPOSE ANY THREAT TO FISH OR WILDLIFE. A TRAPPING AND REARING PERMIT WILL BE IN PLACE DURING ALL ACTIVITIES OF THIS PROGRAM. THE PROJECT OBJECTIVE IS TO ENHANCE THE CHINOOK SALMON POPULATIONS IN THE HUMBOLDT BAY SYSTEM.
