Document Description
THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT IS TO UNCOVER DRAIPIPES, PRESUMED TO HAVE BEEN INSTALLED DURING RECONSTRUCTION OF THE PEDRORENA ADOBE IN 1987 IN ORDER TO VERIFY LOCATION AND DEPTH TO DETERMINE EFFICACY OF THE SYSTEM IN DRAINING THE SITE. FOUR PITS APPROXIMATELY 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND AS DEEP AS NECESSARY TO EXPOSE PIPES WILL BE EXCAVATED. EXCAVATIONS WILL BE LOCATED IN PREVIOUSLY DISTURBED SOILS, WHERE ANY ACHAEOLOGICAL REMAINS WOULD HAVE BEEN RECOVERED IF FOUND DURING THE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
