THE IMPERIAL COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY IS A LARGE QUANTITY GENERATOR OF MEDICAL WASTE. THE MEDICAL WASTE GENERATED AT THIS FACILITY IS TREATED ONSITE BY MEANS OF STEAM STERILIZATION. THIS PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY HAS BEEN STERILIZING WASTE AS PART OF THEIR STANDARD PRACTICE SINCE THE YEAR 1967.
