CALTRANS PROPOSES TO SELL STATE OWNED PROPERTIES THAT WERE ACQUIRED FOR THE EUREKA FWY IN THE CITY OF EUREKA A TOTAL OF 68 PARCELS, CONSISTING OF SINGLE & MULTI- FAMILY DWELLINGS, ONE CHURCH, ONE PARKING LOT, AND 23 VACANT LOTS ARE PROPOSED TO BE SOLD. THE FUNDS GENERATED FROM THE SALE WILL BE COMMITTED TO ALTERNATIVE NON- FREEWAY PROJECTS THAT WOULD ALLEVIATE CONGESTION WITHIN THE ROUTE 101 CORRIDOR THROUGH EUREKA.
