FLOATING NET PENS, LOCTED IN THE HARBOR AT MOSS LANDING AND MONTEREY BREAKWATER, MONTEREY CO., WILL ACCLIMATE APPRX. 120,00 CHINOOK SALMON FINGERLINGS, AND RELEASE THEM INTO THE HARBOR. THE ACCLIMATION PROCESS WILL TAKE SEVERAL DAYS, IN WHICH FRESH WATER IS SLOWLY REPLACED WITH SEA WATER. THE FISH ARE THEN HELD FOR APPRX. 2 WKS. AND THEN RELEASED. ALL OF THE FISH WILL BE CODED-WIRE TAGGED.
