Document Description
The proposed amendments to the City of San Diego's Land Development Code include a new Community Plan Open Space Overlay Zone (§132.1501); applicability of the new zone (§132.1502 and §132.1503); the requirement for a Site Development Permit for any grading within the zone (§142.0103 and §126.0502); findings for approval of such permits (§126.0504); and remedies for grading violations in the zone (§121.0312 and §142.0140). The amendments also clarify the definition of steep hillsides (§113.0103); provide instructions regarding the location and disposition of approved plans and specifications (§129.0112 and §129.0214) identify types of activities not requiring a Neighborhood Development Permit or Site Development Permit (§143.0110) provide limited exceptions form the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Regulations (§143.0111) and provide further direction on restoration of environmentally sensitive lands impacted during emergency work (§143.0126). In addition to the amended code sections, the existing Transit Area Overlay Zone as shown on Diagram 132-10A has reverted to the zone that was originally envisioned in the Zoning Code EIR. The amendments would be implemented Citywide.
