Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA #5-2002-0117) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Ken Boyce, City of Carson Public Works Department. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed and bank of Macco Channel by installing a double box culvert within the channel as part of the extension of Del Amo Boulevard across the San Diego Freeway (I-405) and the Dominguez Channel. The project would establish Del Amo Boulevard as a continuos regional facility stretching 52 kilometers from Vermont Avenue, just west of thew I-110, to just before the border within the San Bernardino County. The Macco Channel is an unvegetated, concrete-lined channel, with 15 to 20 foot high vertical walls. The property is surrounded by recreational, industrial and commercial properties. THe project shall not impact more than 0.01 acre of stream channel, of which is entirely concrete lined.
