Document Description
The Project involves developing the extension of Light Rail Transit (LRT) service from the existing Meadowview Station approximately 4.3 miles to CRC.
The Project will permanently remove 1.383 acres of giant garter snake (Thamnophis couchi gigas) habitat and temporarily impact 8.44 acres. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of giant garter snake (Covered Species), which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by DFG authorizes incidental take of Covered Species, subject to various terms and conditions, including the requirement that all authorized impacts are fully mitigated.
