Document Description
Project includes remedial actions mandated in Cleanup or Abatement Order (CAO) No. 98-38, issued by the Central Coast Region of the CA RWQCB, which covers the removal of pipeline and surface facilities no longer in use. The project also includes past emergency actions that have already resulted in incidental take of Covered Species, specifically La Graciosa thistle (Cirsium scariosum var. loncholepis) that was taken during emergency actions conducted in spring 1998.
Project is expected to result in incidental take of 1,083 individuals of La Graciosa thistle, 236 individual of surf thistle (Cirsium rhothophilum), and 311 rosettes of beach spectaclepod (Dithyrea maritima) which are designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP Minor Amendment No. 2 referenced above extends the expiration date to May 1, 2024 and updates contact info.
