Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), approved a request, dated February 11, 2021, from RSR Corporation for temporary authorization to install and operate two Miscellaneous Units - a compression auger and centrifuge in the Battery Wrecker Building at Quemetco Inc. (EPA ID CAD 066233966) in accordance with Section 66270.42(e) of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. The purpose of the Miscellaneous Units is to eliminate free liquids from the hazardous waste that is stored on the floor of the Containment Building. On April 19, 2021, DTSC approved RSR Corporation’s temporary authorization request to authorize the installation and operation of the two Miscellaneous Units for a period of 180 calendar days and will expire on October 15, 2021.
