Document Description
This project will authorize IT to implement corrective actions to cleanup groundwater and soil contamination at DBA V at the IT Panoche Facility. Proposed remedial activities include: construction of a trench adjacent DBA V to intercept highly contaminated groundwater, a soil vapor extraction system to remove residual contamination improvements to the existing groundwater extraction system to enhance groundwater capture, and onsite treatment of the collected gases and groundwater. IT will be required to operate these systems until the corrective action objectives are achieved to DTSC's satisfaction. The drums have been removed from this area and residual contamination is under a protective cap. DTSC will monitor DBA V and the rest of the IT Panoche site for the foreseeable future.
