THE CITY OF CALABASAS IS IN THE PROCESS OF ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN TO SPECIFICALLY ADDRESS THE DYNAMICS OF THE CITY'S LAND USE AND ENVIRONMENTAL AND POLICY NEEDS AND SERVE AS A MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CITY'S FUTURE. THE GENERAL PLAN DOCUMENTS THE EXISTING PHYSICAL NATURAL, AND ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENTS OF THE CITY AND ITS GENERAL PLAN STUDY AREA; DEVELOPS FORECASTS WHICH PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR RATIONAL DECISION MAKING REGARDING THE CITY'S LONG-TERM PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT; EXAMINES CURRENT ISSUES AND NEEDS OF THE CITY; PRESENTS GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND POLICIES IN THE INDIVIDUAL GENERAL PLAN ELEMENTS; AND PROVIDES DETAILED IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAMS.
