THE PROPOSED PROJECT AS APPROVED BY THE CALIFORNIA DEPT OF CORRECTIONS INVOLVES THE CONSTRUCTION OF EMERGENCY HOUSING FACILITIES, THREE EDUCATIONAL MODULARS, A CLINIC AND THREE ADMINISTRATION MODULARS AT AVENAL STATE PRISON THE EMERGENCY HOUSING FACILITIES WOULD CONSIST OF SIX NEW DORMITORIES THAT WOULD PROVIDE BEDS FOR A TOTAL OF 1,200 PRISON INMATES. ANOTHER 760 BEDS WOULD BE PROVIDED WITHIN EXISTING BUILDINS FOR A TOTAL OF 1,960 NEW BEDS. ALL OF THE NEW BUILDINGS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE THREE ADMINISTRAT- IVE MODULARS WOULD BE PLACES WITHIN THE EXISTING SECURED
