CREATION OF 5,110.4 ACRE MULTIPLE SPECIES RESERVE AT LAKE MATHEWS AND A COMBINED RESERVE EXTENDING SOUTH OF LAKE MATHEWS CONSISTING OF OVER 12,000 ACRES. THE LAKE MATHEWS MUULTIPLE SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN AND NATURAL COMMUNITY CONSERVATION PLAN WILL SERVE AS THE BASIS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF INCIDENTAL TAKE PERMITS PURSUANT E TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 7 & 10 OF THE FEDERAL ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE TAKE OF 6 CURRENT- LY LISTED SPECIES AND 59 ADDITIONAL SPECIES THAT MAY BECOME LISTED. THE LAKE MATHEWS WILL ALSO SERVE AS THE BASIS FOR A MANAGEMENT AUTHORIZATION UNDER SECTION 2081 OF THE CA. ESA ADN SECTION 2835 OF THE NATURAL COMMUNITY CONSERVATION PLANNING ACT FOR THE TARGET SPECIES.
