Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement (1600-2020-0178-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Sea Summit at Marblehead Homeowner’s Association.
The Project involves the long-term infrastructure management of three water quality basins, including regular maintenance and monitoring. The water quality basins were created as part of mitigation for the Sea Summit at Marblehead residential development and the Plaza San Clemente commercial development, which restored a total of 4.89 acres of coastal sage scrub habitat, alkali marsh/meadow, and mixed riparian/emergent marsh habitat around the basins. This agreement allows annual selective vegetation thinning and trash/debris removal via manual and chemical methods within the basin floor, particularly in and around inlet structures, which are necessary to maintain the mitigation area.
