THE FARMERSVILLE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IS PROPOSING TO ACQUIRE A 49 ACRE SITE EAST OF FARMERSVILLE BLVD AND SOUTH OF AVENUE 288, AND "LAND BANK" IT WITH THE INTENT OF DEVELOPING A NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON THE SITE IN THE FUTURE. AT THIS TIME, THE DISTRICT DOES NOT EXPECT TO DEVELOP THE NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BEFORE THE YEAR 2000. THE DISTRICT'S TENTATIVE LONG RANGE PLANS FOR THE SITE ALSO INCLUDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND A NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL IN THE FUTURE.
