Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA #5-340-00) pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Ventura County Flood Control District, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, Ca 93009. The applicant proposes to remove the existing concrete channel; improve the creek capacity (excavating the channel) from the Santa Clara River to approximately two miles upstream; construct a graded trapezoidal earth bottom channel; protection of the creek's banks with grouted stone; railroad bridge modification; construction of a fish passage structure; outlet stabilization and extension of the vertical concrete wall to the Telegraph Road Bridge. The construction of the bank by the fair weather crossing. The preservation of 22 acres of habitat as mitigation. The project is located in the City of Santa Paula in Ventura County.
