The proposed project includes twelve features: (1) access road, (2) Nature Center and parking lot, (3) revegetation, (4) nature trails and Lookout Point, (5) children's play area refurbishment, (6) picnic facilities, (7) security lighting, (8) landscape planting, (9) automatic irrigation system, (10) walkways and retaining wall, (11) miscellaneous park furnishings and park identification sign, and (12) cultural resources. The modified proposed project involves eleven to fourteen months of construction activity, depending on weather conditions. During construction of the nature center and access improvements, Friendship Park will be closed to public use.
