Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SBA-18630-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Santa Barbara County Department of Public Works represented by Morgan Jones. Vintage Ranch Subdivision Developer is proposing a subdivision at the above location that will necessitate the widening of an existing fire access road and its conversion to a public use road. To accommodate the road widening and to improve wildlife passage through this point, Permittee plans to extend the existing reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) by 15 linear feet on each end and place a new precast concrete box culvert parallel to the existing RCP offset by seven feet. The box culvert will be installed through excavation and a trench-cut into the existing roadway. The trench-cut will require shoring and the use of a crane to place the box culvert. All disturbed soil will be hydroseeded using a local native seed mix. Equipment will include an excavator, backhoe, dump truck, and crane. There will be no water present during the proposed work period and no work in wetted portions of the creek.
