Document Description
Oakland International Airport Ground Transportation has limousines, courtesy shuttles and door-to-door shuttles. Taxicabs and door-to-door shuttles operate at the airport as an on-demand service. The airport does not currently have limousines that operate as an on-demand service provider. The principal four members of the Limousine and Sedan Company own and operate a limousine service in the San Francisco Bay Area. The members approached the Port of Oakland Landside Operations Department to set up an 18-month on-demand limousine service pilot program. The pilot program offers an additional option to passengers through a non-scheduled walk up service from two centrally located desks. The service will be provided at a discounted flat rate. The airport will provide space (at a per sqaure-foot rental fee) for two sales desks in the baggage claim areas, small operations office, space in terminal, and a staging lot for vehicles on airport property.
