Document Description
The project includes the replacement of a dilapidated culvert with a 40-foot long by 48-inch diameter high density polyethylene plastic (HDPE) pipe on Sandy Flat Gulch, a tributary to the Pacific Ocean off of Coast Road, near the City of Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County. Rip rap will be placed under the pipe discharge outlet to prevent erosion. The bank will be re-graded as close to a 2:1 slope as feasible with rock installed at the toe of the slope and vegetated with live pole (willow) cuttings that will establish and grow into the bank. The upper bank will also be planted with willow cutting. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0038-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Don Roland, Granite Rock Company.
