Document Description
Kirkwood Mountain Resort, LLC and U.S. El Dorado National Forest (co-permittees) divert water from Caples Lake for snowmaking under water right Permits 20851 and 20852 (Applications 30062 and 30453). The permits authorize direct diversion and storage with a combined limit of 500 acre-feet per annum. KMR operates snowmaking facilities on 55 acres of the 200-acre place of use under the permits. The time to put water to beneficial use under the permits ended on Dec. 31, 2005. The co-permittees applied to the State Water Resources Control Board for a 10-year extension of time to complete the snowmaking project.
