Document Description
The California DOT proposed to realign a one-half mile section of State Route 299 in central Shasta County. Cedar Creek, a creek with a well-developed riparian corridor, parallels Route 299 in this area. The creek will be spanned twice, requiring the construction of two bridges and new cut and fill slopes. The project may impact Shasta salamander (Hydromantes shastae), which is protected under the California Endangered Species Act, requiring issuance of a California Incidental Take Permit ("Permit").
