THE PROPOSED PROJECT WILL MODIFY A PORTION OF GILSIZER SLOUGH BY THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOIST SOIL PLANTS ALONG THE UPLANDS OF THE SLOUGH AND BY THE ESTABLSIHEMENT OF OPEN WATER AREAS WITH THE TULE PATCHES WITHIN THE SLOUGH CHANNEL. THE PROJECT OBJECTIVE IS TO IMPROVE WETLAND HABITAT FOR WATERFOWL. TEH PROJECT WILL ALLOW FOR THE INCREASED DIVERSITY OF FOOD, PLANTS AND ADDITIONAL OPEN WATER AREAS FOR WATERFOWL.
