The project site, located at 7925 Hollister Avenue in Goleta, consists of 209 acres on a coastal plain above the Pacific Ocean. It now includes an 18-hole golf course and practice range, an 8,943 square-foot clubhouse and 372-space parking lot, and various maintenance facilities. The site also includes a vacant historic structure, the Barnsdall-Rio Grande Gas station, which is protected under the County's historic landmarks ordinance.
