Document Description
The proposed Amendment IV to the VVEDA Redevelopment Plan will add approximately 15,255 acres to the Redevelopment Project Area, expanding the project area to 65,255 total acres. VVEDA is a joint powers redevelopment authority that was created to address economic impacts from closure of former George Air Force Base, now the Southern California Logistics Airport. The expansion of the Redevelopment Project Area will allow VVEDA to extend its redevelopment activities to upgrade public facilities, rehabilitate and redevelop blighted areas, and improve the quality of life for residents by supporting jobs creating development consistent with the adopted General Plans of the Participating Jurisdictions.
