- UC Davis collects campus-generated municipal solid waste (MSW) and disposes it at a campus-operated landfill. Construction, operation, closure and post-closure maintenance activities campus landfill were approved in July 1995 and analyzed in the Final EIR for the UC Davis Landfill Expansion and Permit Revision ("Landfill FEIR") (State Clearinghouse No. 1993081104). That expansion was estimated to provide MSW disposal capacity for UC Davis through approximately 2040, at which time final landfill closure was anticipated.
