Document Description
The Project is a water distribution system to allow for increases in groundwater storage and the rate of recovery of banked water for the Stored Water Recovery Unit (SWRU) of the Semitropic Groundwater Banking Project (SGBP). Constructed elements consist of the North-South Conveyance System and the three geographically distinct Irrigation Distribution Systems, referred to as "X," "Y," and "Z." Each system is designed to deliver surface water (when available) to lands otherwise reliant on pumped groundwater for irrigation. The North-South Conveyance System provides for the delivery of water to and from the California Aqueduct and ILSA. For the purposes of DFG's ITP issued for the Project, only the (1) North-South Conveyance System; (2) Irrigation Distribution Systems; and 3) Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities of the ILSA facilities were addressed, as the other constructed elements will occur on lands without Covered Species habitat (in irrigated agriculture).
