Arbor Ridge Reservoir and Pump Station Improvements

CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2013-0029-R5) to the project applicant, Standard Pacific of Walnut Hills Inc., a Delaware Corporation, represented by Michael C. Battaglia. The project proposes to impact 0.41 acres of streambed, including 0.25 acres of permanent impact to wetland/riparian vegetation consisting of marsh, southern willow scrub, mulefat scrub, rural/disturbed, and ornamental/landscaped habitats and 0.16 acres of additional permanent impacts to non-riparian habitat described as unvegetated streambed, concrete inlets and outlets, and non-native grasses and mitigate with 0.75 acres of creation, restoration and/or enhancement. Impacts will take place due to maintenance within four storm water facilities of the Walnut Hills Development; Debris Basins No. 1 and No. 2 Detention Basin No. 1, and the Mitigation Area inlet/outlet structures. Maintenance activities will involve complete vegetation removal and as much sediment removal as necessary to restore the facilities to their original designed conditions followed by continued vegetation removal and the removal of accumulated sediment for the life of the Agreement. The mitigation required from impacts to the larger project involved, "Walnut Hills Development", was never reduced although the area of impacts was reduced. "The Walnut Hills Development" requiring mitigation is in-kind to the required mitigation for this project and is there for serving as mitigation for this current project and no additional mitigation is required.
