Document Description
The Board certified a Final EIS/EIR for the Yuba River Basin Project in April 1998. That project contemplated improvements to the east levee of the Feather River, the south levee of the Yuba River and teh levees around the City of Marysville. The purpose of the project was to improve flood protection. Since the Yuba River Basin Project was authorised, geotechnical investigations and new hydrology have identified previously unknown levee foundation problems in portions of the authorized project. The Corps and the Board will prepare a Limited Reevaluation Report and Supplemental EIS/EIR for the modifications to the authorized project that are necessary to address the foundation problems.
