Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Woodside Homes of California, Incorporated. The applicant proposes: 1) Pulling back of the banks to widen Cottonwood Creek and Fahrens Creek for expanded flood conveyance capacity; 2) Construction of a swale feature paralleling along the eastern bank of Fahrens Creek; 3) Construction of a bridge structure for a vehicle crossing over Cottonwood Creek; 4) Establishment of a +/-140-acre Open Space corridor along Fahrens Creek and Cottonwood Creek alignments; 5) Preservation of all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers jurisdictional wetlands on the banks of Fahrens Creek and Cottonwood Creek; 6) Revegetation of riparian corridors along Fahrens Creek and Cottonwood Creek using native tree and shrub species; 7) Construction of a water quality retention basin on the south bank of the Cottonwood Creek; 8) Construction of a bridge structure for a pedestrian crossing over Cottonwood Creek; 9) Construction of a flood storage area at the confluence of Fahrens Creek and Cottonwood Creek.
